COUNCIL'S MONITORING DATA AND CONSULTATION
RESULTS FOR HIGHBURY
COLLATED FEEDBACK FROM ACROSS THE SEVEN ISLINGTON LTN TRIALS
In reality the consultation results clearly show that for the majority of respondents the trials were consistently ineffective at best and detrimental at worst, with certain protected characteristics groups emphatically disliking the trials (disability) or their views not being sufficiently captured (race).

This document collates some of the key indicative results from Islington Council’s consultation on the 7 Islington LTN trials that it implemented in 2020-2021.

Islington Council claims that the consultation results show that the LTN trials achieve their objectives (being to improve air quality, to increase active travel and to reduce road danger).

Feedback from the boundary road respondents, who bear the brunt of the trials through traffic displacement, was completely obscured. The complete document is here.
